Kirengeshoma palmata

Yellow Wax Bells

This plant is a "rarity for the connoisseur"; it's a must-have for any collector of unique plants! It features pastel yellow blooms with palm-shaped leaves. It will bloom in September and should be grown in partial shade and a rich, moist soil. It will grow to be 36" tall. This unusual Japanese perennial is perfect for woodland areas or shady spots in the garden. Zones 5-7. Pictured above with buds; they will pop open into charming yellow buttercup-like flowers.




Darmera peltata

Umbrella Plant

This unique beauty will thrive when planted on a shaded stream bank, beside ponds, or in any watery environment where its roots will stay moist and cool. It's a spreading perennial with 24" wide large rounded leaves. The beautiful clusters of white to pale pink flowers on white-haired stems will bloom before foliage in spring. Good coarse texture. 3-4' tall.
Grow in full sun to partial shade. Zones 5-7.

This perennial has large, distinctive, silvery leaves with green veins. The sprays of tiny blue flowers will bloom May to July. The plant will hold its variegation all season. Grows to 12”. Grow in
full sun, partial shade, or full shade and a well-drained soil. Good rock garden selection! Zone 3.
